Job Responsibilities
You will be required to demonstrate high standards of clinical practice providing holistic care to patients receiving outpatient radiotherapy. You will be able to manage your own case load of patients and will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for radiotherapy patients with complex needs. You will be required to quickly identify deteriorating patients and take the appropriate action to manage the situation. With excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills you will provide links within the Multidisciplinary team. As a specialist nurse you will be required to provide professional advice and support to other staff members, and assist with audits of clinical practice and standards.
Essential Criteria
• NMC Registered Nurse or eligible
• 5 years post registration experience
• Minimum 1 year’s interventional radiotherapy experience
• Mentorship/teaching qualification or ENB 998
• Specialist Course e.g. Radiology nursing certificate
• Excellent communication and inter personal skills
• Organisational skills and leadership
• Develops and sustains a teaching and learning environment
• Demonstrate the ability to use research inquiry to plan, implement and evaluate service improvement
• Change Management skills
• Tissue viability experience
Desirable Criteria
Have degree working towards a masters
